Calypso Skirt

An interesting find from ModCloth.com

The Calypso Skirt ($54.99) is so unusual and romantic. It looks like something out of a storybook. Not sure what occasion one would wear this skirt to, but it's nice to see something completely out of the ordinary.

The top layer is delicately ruffled, has an asymmetrical hem sweeping from bodice to train, and three hook-and-eye closures at high waist.
There's an elasticized-back waistband, and a corseted ribbon tie over it.
According to reviews, this skirt runs very small, so order size up.

I can see the Calypso skirt worn with some black fishnet stockings
and vintage style lace-up booties similar to these.

ooh like the skirt. but on me i think the longer in the bag length would bother me. i wish it were the same length as the white part of the skirt.

Wow, this really caught my attention. Oh wait, so does EVERYTHING that Anthro sells. The price tag isn't too hefty, although you make a good point...no appropriate place to show it off.

Wow, this *is* unusual! I'm pondering what top could go with this--for some reason I'm picture a white button-down shirt in crispest cotton with a pair of black pumps. But then, you could use the two skirts separately, I guess, for more versatile use...perhaps the black overlay with a black ruffly skirt or pencil skirt, or the white on its own for a fun summer look? Thanks for the find!

The skirt's great, but I couldn't tell from the modcloth website what the brand was. Do you know? Thanks in advance!
