UPDATE On Price Discrepancy

Received an e-mail from Allison, Ecommerce operations manager. Once again, she apologized for all the confusion. The price discrepancy was caused by human error which, let's face it, can happen to anyone. So now we know Anthropologie is run by humans and not by Stepford's wives. The prices on-line were meant to be what they were in the store and not the other way around. I'm still of the opinion that Anthropologie could have handled this better by simply swallowing their mistake.
The good news is Anthro will be honoring the lower price for anyone wishing to replace their order. So ladies, if you had your order canceled, please call back customer service and have them put it right.

Luckily, the shoes I ordered were not part of this disaster (prized rose peep toes). I feel horrible for everyone dealing with this aftermath. I appreciate the fact that you rec'd this email explaination. I just wonder if all CS Associates are aware the "original" sale prices would be honored if your order was cancelled and you wished to reorder. I think it's the right thing to do. They should have just taken the loss on original orders. Boy, what a mess!!!

i called and reordered my cancelled sweater friday and did receive the original price, however i got ANOTHER email saying that my re-order is cancelled because it is out of stock. now i placed the phone order on Friday afternoon, and just got the email this afternoon, 3 days later. so i called back again and placed another order for the same sweater in another size... we'll see if it gets cancelled too... ugh!!
