This has been a busy, busy week. Being totally swamped with Photoshop work, I didn't even have time to post about Monday's Anthropologie sale, which I'm sure you all know was a juicy one. There's still no end in sight to my retouching, but I just wanted to post some more pictures from the Jazz Age Lawn Party, as promised.
How I wish this event happened more often than just once a year. It gives people like me a chance to live out their 20's fantasies.
It was fun to observe couples really enjoying themselves on the dance floor.
I had the best time at the Jazz Age Lawn Party on Governor's Island today! And to think, I almost did not end up going. If it wasn't for my surprisingly lucky break in winning a VIP pass from Veuve Ambal, I might have ended up upstate this weekend. Since I never win anything (and not for lack of trying), I figured this must be fate and I better make good use of my free pass. Now that I'm back, I don't know how I could have even considered missing this event. The parade of all the amazing costumes was a total feast for the eyes and the jazz music, played by Dreamland Orchestra, is still ringing in my ears. I took a million pictures and will try to put them up on the blog in the coming week. In the mean time, here's a little teaser.
Don't you love surprises? I know I do! This week we didn't have to wait till Tuesday for a sale. Anthropologie decided to treat us with one today. In addition to the newly discounted items, there are a whole bunch of second tier discounts, both in clothing and shoes. Every time I tell myself I'm done with shopping for the next five years, Anthropologie trips me up.
