This Monday morning I am feeling so very rotten. An evil virus took over my body and I want to crawl out of my skin. Last night I told husband that if I die, he should please always be sensitive and gentle with our kids. Granted most people survive the flu or whatever the heck I have, but you never know. He responded that he can't promise anything and so I better not croak. Yup, that's my baby-daddy. So what does a woman who's in bed with a fever and who's not at all reassured about the future of her kids in the event of her untimely demise left to do, but drawn her sorrows in Anthropologie sale shopping? Another very legitimate excuse that I have is that after the baby I can't fit into any of my clothes. It's very depressing, but it's easier to buy larger sizes than to loose weight. As my kind and sensitive husband put it, "give up on loosing weight and just sell your skinny wardrobe". Slightly off the subject, but to top things off for me, my darling firstborn daughter has declared that I'm not a fun mommy. I asked her if she would rather have a different mommy and after ten seconds of consideration, she said "yes, but don't get upset".
So as you can imagine, this is not one of the happier Mondays for me. Well, let's see what can be scraped up in today's sale.
