Ode to Audrey

When I think of Audrey Hepburn, I think of her as a paragon of simple unpretentious elegance. She believed that under-dressing is better than overdressing. Without unnecessary ruffles and frills, the key to Audrey's style was in clean well tailored, figure flattering lines.

Tea Time Chandelier

When I saw the Tea Time Chandelier on Anthropologie website I had one of those speechless "This is so weird and awesome" moments. The chandelier looks like something that belongs in Mad Hatter's home.

Eighteen vintage teacups dangle from an arrangement of vintage silver serving trays, utensils and the teapot itself, as seven lights illuminate the scene.
Imagine company walking into your house and seeing this contraption hanging over your dining table. When it's time for tea, do you just reach up and pull a few cups down from the chandelier?

The price tag is $1,800, not too shabby for Mr Mad Hatter.

Kids UMI Shoes Sale

Don't know how many of you shop for kid's shoes, but if you do, you know that GOOD shoes are always expensive. In fact, good kid's shoes cost as much as mommy's shoes, except, unlike mommy, kids grow out of their shoes way darn fast. I'm always looking out for good deals on kid's name brand shoes like Primigi, Stride Rite, Umi, etc. If I find something really good for an amazing price, I don't mind buying a larger size than what my kids currently wear because I know they will need them sooner or later.

Anyhow, I was very excited to find that Houtelook is starting a four day sale today on kids UMI shoes. I'm always happy to find Umi shoes for a bargain price because they are made of very soft leather, have well padded foot-bed and are always super comfortable right out of the box.

Sizes are going so darn fast!

Most Bizarre Glitches in Old Navy Site

Yesturday, Old Navy was running a one day 30% off promotion. I wanted to order a few items for my kids that I already had saved in my shopping cart. As I revisited my cart, I noticed that one item that had priveously been there, was missing. I searched for it high and low on Old Navy website, but it was not to be found. I then did a Google search for it and clicked on a link that was supposed to take me directly to that product page on OldNavy. com. The link took me to a page that said "Oops, this page no longer exists". I though, oh well, this item must be sold out.

Today, I had an impulse to revisit Old Navy site. I went into the kids wear category where the item I missed out on used to be, and lo and behold it was there again! Right there, available in ALL sizes.
What the heck?! It mysteriously disappeared off the site yesterday and reappeared again today!
Can anyone explain to me this bizarre occurrence?
